Description
Piano 1 is designed for beginners and aspiring pianists who want to develop a foundation in piano playing. This course provides students an introduction to, and refines the fundamentals of, music and keyboard including literature and techniques such as scales, chords, and melodic lines and may offer instruction in more advanced techniques. Students will learn essential fundamentals, including proper posture, hand positioning, and finger exercises. The curriculum covers basic music theory, reading sheet music, and playing simple pieces from various genres. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform basic melodies and have the confidence to move towards more advanced classes in music. No prior experience is required.
