Description
As the capstone course in the Metal Processing pathway, Metal Processing 3 enables students to bring together the knowledge and skills developed in Metal Processing 1 and 2. This course focuses on the entire production cycle of metal projects\'97from concept to final product\'97emphasizing real-world applications in design, planning, material selection, pricing, and fabrication.
Students will work collaboratively to research and select a product, create a prototype, and ultimately prepare it for sale. This hands-on experience allows students to refine their machining and welding skills while learning valuable entrepreneurial and project management skills. By the end of the course, students will understand how to turn an idea into a marketable product, gaining practical insight into the manufacturing industry.
