Students have the opportunity to advance their learning through this accelerated course that blends topics taught in Algebra 2 and Precalculus. Given the timeline, the pace of this course will be similar to college coursework, and the topics will mirror what's covered in Math 95, Math 111z, and Math 112z at the Oregon university level. Students will build on their knowledge of Algebra to discover, model, and analyze function families, conics, trigonometry, and other concepts that will support the student in future coursework. This course is primarily designed for students who plan to study a STEM field in college and would benefit from early access to AP Calculus.
