Description
How does a computer chip do what it does? In this course, students will design and construct digital logic circuits like those used in computer and graphics CPU and GPU chips. Students will use binary numbers and logic circuits, such as AND/ OR/NOT gates, to build circuits that solve real world problems. Students will read and draw logic schematics, optimize circuits, simulate circuits online, construct physical circuits on breadboards, and learn to debug malfunctioning circuits. Students will learn to use a variety of electronic tools to assist in their design testing.
Notes
*Glencoe engineering students will follow the curriculum provided by Project Lead the Way. Hilhi Electronics & Engineering Pathway students will follow PCC curriculum.
