Description
This class has been developed as an introductory course for students who are interested in becoming educators, coaches, counselors, parents or other careers that focus on working closely with children. Focused on the preschool - elementary aged child, this course will explore developmental domains and stages and practices in early childhood education. Students will learn theories and techniques that will help them to plan for, interact, care for, and educate young children. Additionally, students will have hands-on practical experiences to directly relate, observe and use the concepts learned in class. The skills gained in this class are meant to lead them directly into Child Development 3.
